As I was consumed with everything fashion doll sized during 2015, I happened upon these realistic action figures made of latex. They came without heads, but had other - um - body parts that were interchangeable. I wanted to do so much with these dolls, but there are no companies that make clothes for them, so they remain naked. Until I can figure out what to do with them, these are the only images I have taken.
I am and have always been interested in photographing animals. Years ago, I became a vegetarian because I developed an awareness of factory farming conditions. Since that time, I have broadened my perspective on the different ways people acquire their animals products; namely, whether they farm it themselves or hunt for it rather than picking it up at the grocery store. This portfolio is my understanding that there are some cultures who use all parts of the animals they slaughter for food, while much of the animal is wasted in the United States.
I travelled to NYC to take photographs and came across Atlas and his Globe in the center of Columbus Circle. I began taking images and my classmates seemed to enjoy them. Unfortunately, none of my other reflection images compared and it was too late in the semester for me to return to Columbus Circle for photos. I ended up using a piece of mylar glued to a sheet of poster board, which I then crinkled into a ball and flattened out. I was able to take a trip to NYC, but the remaining images needed to be done in my makeshift studio at home to complete the portfolio.
